Halo rings without matching wedding band

GettingReady2Rumsey, on May 4, 2017 at 12:46 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 37

Ladies with Halo e-rings! My ring didn't come with a matching band. I've found a few that could work with my ring just fine, but nothing I'm in love with. I think I'd prefer a band that can be worn alone at times. Do any of you have a non-wrap around or non-slip under band? Does it look weird if your band is just hanging out separately from your e-ring? Pic of my engagement ring attached!

Beautiful ring! I've seen many halo e-rings w/thin stacked wedding bands that look pretty. I think it would be best to go to a jewelry store just to try different looks w/a regular band vs. wrap around

I have a cushion cut halo with an infinity band. We got the matching infinity band. Looks amazing together. FH didn't let me take a pic because he only let me try it on for like 5 seconds lol. Why not just get the infinity band to match the band of the e ring? I don't personally care for wraps. Infinity bands look good alone too.

Here's a pic of my ring with the wedding band, I like that I can wear just the wedding band separately if I wanted to Smiley smile

You have a beautiful ring, whatever you decide will be lovely.

I like the idea of the band you can wear alone if you want.

@Mrs Sullivan To Be there's no room for an infinity band under my ring, so I guess my question is, would the extra space in between look weird. I'm uncertain about how I feel about it.

My e-ring has a matching rose gold wedding band, but I also wear my grandmother's white gold band sometimes. It does t exactly match the contour of my e-ring, but here's what they look like together!

And the matching set. It makes the space less noticeable. If you're worried about any space, I'd say go with whatever you can find that matches the band of your e-ring!

Thanks, OP! I totally understand wanting a non-curved band (that was important to me too). Your ring is so beautiful that it will look great with whatever you choose!

I have a pear shaped diamond with a halo so it's even more difficult to find a band for mine. I did find a ring guard that I thought looked nice but not sure if I want a guard. I also found a chevron style band that I like and could wear separate from my ering too. This pic is the ring guard.

Here's the level of gap-age I'm talking about. My e-ring setting is flush against my finger so it doesn't allow for a band to sit under it unless it's a slip-under

    This is the chevron style.

I went with a "bump ring." It has a slight curve to it but not a full wrap around. It looks just fine on it's own.

My band, that I don't have on yet, has the slightest curve in it to accommodate the halo. I also have a really high set halo, but the band nestles under the Ering nicely and doesn't look odd if I wear it by itself. I'll try to take a pic of it tonight if I remember!

@Amanda S. oh my gosh! I love your rings! The ring guard is especially beautiful. I don't think I'd want one for myself personally. I like to admire other people's bling but I'm not one to have a lot of bling myself Smiley smile

You can get bands that are contoured to your e-ring if you prefer not to have a gap. You may want to go try on different shapes like a scalloped band. Personally i like when there is a gap since I like mismatched stacks. I have a halo ring but it sits high enough that my band will sit flush. My e-ring is Henri Daussi and I decided to go with the Daussi ring that's on the top in the photo. But we went to the store and tried on different options.

@Mrs. Fall Bride not enough of a difference in my opinion. I definitely want to look at thinner bands too. Orrrrr I might look into getting a second "not so dummy" ring. I work with my hands doing set design in video production which is the biggest reason I'd choose to not wear my e-ring in fear of damage or it getting overly dirty

This is my set. It actually came with a matching band but I exchanged it for the one in the photo. I've had no issues with a regular non-curved band, however I have a friend with a cushion cut halo and she has a curved band. I would suggest going to a jeweler and trying different bands on. I personally think curved bands look fine even when worn without the engagement ring but that's just me.
