Halo rings without matching wedding band

Ladies with Halo e-rings! My ring didn't come with a matching band. I've found a few that could work with my ring just fine, but nothing I'm in love with. I think I'd prefer a band that can be worn alone at times. Do any of you have a non-wrap around or non-slip under band? Does it look weird if...

Does it look weird if your band is just hanging out separately from your e-ring? Pic of my engagement ring attached!

I had no idea how you couldn't fit a band around it. I was so confused until I saw your picture. I don't know what would work with that then. The curved bands will probably look strange if you were ever to wear it alone. I guess you may have to do a wrap type thing.

I don't think they look strange alone. Different, yes, but still beautiful.

I got a scalloped band. I found that the straight bands weren't doing it for me. The scalloped looks pretty by itself or with my E ring.

Here is a pic of my complete ring. My jeweler recommends soldering them together. I am hesitant about doing that.

The one I picked to go with my ring has a slight contour. I wanted a straight across band too but I didn't like the way the gap looked. As far as yours, I talked to a local family owned jeweler and they will make a custom band for you that cost the same amount as one that's already made! They shape it to your ring. Maybe that's worth a try?? Here is my halo ring...

@Amanda, I love your ring and your dress. Do you mind telling me about the dress?

My ring is different being it's an oval and that bands really don't fit it the shape like circles or can't for that matter since it's halo too and has designs underneath. I was upset at first but after trying on many rinfs...making it bulky with several bands is not always flattering and realized a pretty eternity band to position underneath does the ring justice. I love diamonds and every bride would like it to look big, but according to several ring engineers, while bands that fit around the diamond are nice, be prepared for more of a chunky ring which really doesn't do the middle diamond justice.

Wraps are great if they are the exact color and clarity. My ring is a DVD in color and frankly I would rather have a simple eternity band than try to mess with an already very pretty stone

    We went to Zales

I was also having a hard time finding something that looked right.

I wound up with a white gold band and a plain diamond band. Zales sent them out and soldered the two bands together. It doesn't match my engagement ring perfectly but it's good for now. With Zales you can always exchange or buy up. So if in the future I change my mind I have options.

I have a halo ring and the diamonds on the band go 1/2 way around. I was able to find a diamond band that matches up perfectly with my engagement ring. My engagement ring has a little room under it to fit a band though. Does yours have space? Please ignore my disgusting fingers. I'm crafting today and not good with the spray on glue. Lol!

My E-ring is serving double duty as my wedding band too. It's a pear cut with halo and I wouldn't want to add anything to it! I love the look of the thin band and don't want to take away from the delicacy of it!

Here's one of the options we looked at and is beautiful by itself (from Fred Meyer jewelers) but we're gonna go with a wrap instead.
