Halloween wedding

Thought this meme was funny because I really wanted a Halloween wedding... I still might do it. Nothing is set in stone yet!

Haha! Our wedding a 2 days before halloween and FH LOVES Halloween so we're going to incorporate it a little. I still want a somewhat Classic wedding though so it's just small touches.. spooky lighting when the partying starts, a Halloween-y candy table with treat bags and my favorite - a sign that says "till death do us party"

My mom's cousin got married on Halloween. It was actually a ton of fun! My parents, little sister, grandparents, and my mom's sisters and I all dressed like we were from the 50's - poodle skirts, scarves in our pony tails, etc. My grandpa even got the "duck tail" hair cut and sported a temporary Harley Davidson tattoo.

As far as the "pumpkin toss" - check out old episodes of Punkin Chunkin for some creative ideas!!

My sister got married this last Halloween, it was a blast!! She had a black dress. Everyone was in costume. She had a candy bar. And my daughter was the "flower girl" dressed as Elsa of course and threw fake spiders instead of flowers! You can really take a theme like that and run with it. Everyone will always remember it! The bar tender was even dressed as Jesus. (Turning water into wine lol) the wedding cake was beautifully white with "blood" (strawberry) running down the side! So fun!

I officiated a very toned-down Halloween wedding. The BMs wore dark purple, the GM wore burnt orange shirts and black slacks. The bride had a rather Gothic white wedding gown with black trim. Tablecloths were dark purple, napkins were burnt orange, etc.

OMG I get this all the time when I tell people my date I don't want any costumes mask or anything. I may bend on the candy bar because my colors are Orange and Brown so I think it would be easier to use Halloween candy not sure but all that other stuff NO NO NO. The only day one of my venues was available was Oct 29 so I went with it

    Hi date twin @stephanie

My parents were married on Halloween in Germany. At the time, there was no such thing there. They came here and surprise! Trick or treaters on their anniversary. And as kids, we didn't go out for very long because it was family dinner out. Boo

@Kiandra - You and I were almost date twins! My grandparents actually got married on Halloween (in Italy so they didn't realize until they moved here) and I wanted to honor them by having a date close to theirs. But I didn't want a Halloween themed wedding and 10/29 was too close to guarantee people wouldn't dress up.

We considered it. But he didn't want costumes... And I feel like what's the point of a Halloween wedding without costumes! But I love the idea of them. For sure.

This is probably FH's dream wedding...you could certainly get away with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme around Halloween. I find it kind of odd when couples want to do that in June.
