Had my last fitting last night and i'm worried i'm gonna be boobs mcgee at my wedding

Jenn B, on August 18, 2015 at 11:24 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 33

I love my dress- and from a front picture- i think it actually minimizes my chest. My seamstress has taken the sweetheart in a bit so it wasn't so plunging- and she suggested double sided tape to help secure.

As of now- i hadn't planned on wearing a bra- but i'm wondering if that will help. I took a selfie last night and was not a fan of the view.

Any suggestions? Seamstress has already taken in as much as she can.

I felt like boobs McGee too during my fitting. She ended up taking the boning out of the dress from the bottom of my boob up and then taking the whole thing in a couple inches. Now that I look back, I wish I hadn't done that or worn a different bra because I went from being boobs McGee to looking like my 10th grade self lol.

Honestly, I think you look great! Are you concerned there's too much cleavage showing or that you don't feel the dress is fitted enough in the bust?

Is this the taken in version of the sweetheart, or will your seamstress be doing it more?

As a fellow member of the big titty committee, I think the facts are that they will be there regardless on you wedding day. I picked a dress with straps for this reason, as sweetheart necklines made them all over the place. I don't think a bra will help. The 1st picture I see nothing wrong with, the second one is just a little plungy

Both, nursetraveler87. I don't want to look back at my wedding pics and feel like i was busting out of my dress. I wish it fit better- but she doesn't seem to think theres any way to make it tighter.

    1) Love the title of this thread.

    2) From a fellow Boobs McGhee, have you considered a corset bra? When my consultant was describing how secure I would be in one, I didn't really believe her that it could end up being any more secure than a regular old strapless bra. But then I tried it on, and I felt WAY less boobalicious. Smiley smile

ETA - ...without reverting to my 10th grade self, either! I'm like a rabid fan of corset bras now lol.

I have no suggestions, but I sympathize. I had a fitting last week and my dress is SO TIGHT now. I feel like it gives me back fat and the armpit fat thanks to my boobs being squished up. Before it was too loose and I thought my boobs would pop out. Hopefully losing some water weight will help. I plan to hit the gym hard the next couple months.

I don't think yours looks bad at all!! Maybe a bit loose, but double sided tape will work.

I think the front view looks great. I don't see a problem with it at all. Yes, the selfie shows a little more but I still think it looks absolutely fine. Do you feel like you're going to pop out or are you just worried about how it looks from the selfie view?

OGRandi- I did that first- but have you tried sitting in one? Once I sat down, the boning from the corset pushed my boobs up so high, i felt suffocated! ha ha

I'm going to have quite a bit of cleavage in my dress also, my dress is being altered to hold them up and in, which is all I can really ask for. I'm used to having to work around my boobs and as long as they are contained, I'm happy. lol Talk to your seamstress and see if she has any suggestions? I steered clear of strapless dresses because of my bust, strapless anything is hard for me to wear. Good luck!!

Aw crap! Then my suggestion is worthless. Somehow I lucked out and didn't feel suffocated. I'm sorry. :/ Keep us updated? Best of luck with this!!

The selfie picture definitely shows more cleavage from the angle. As far as the other one, my eyes weren't immediately drawn your boobs. I think that it will be fine. If your seamstress is taking away some of the plunge from the sweetheart then I think that will be good enough. A bra isn't necessary but the double sided tape might give you some peace of mind that you won't fall out.

I have the opposite problem. My itty bitty titty committee membership will be obvious. I have no suggestions, but boob sympathies.

I think it looks like it's more cleavage in your selfie because of the angle. I think the dress looks great!

And I'm totally laughing at VM's comment. Smiley smile

This was before she took in the sweet heart a bit. Although- it's really hard to see a difference. Hmm.

I think you look great (and not too boob-y)..but I'm not much help because I have the opposite problem - but how many pictures will be taken at the angle in the second pic? Probably not many.

ETA: Sorry. Massively edited. no shame.

Jenn- Are you concerned that it's too much cleavage (I think it looks fine) or that you will pop out of your dress? If it's the popping out, maybe you could get some spaghetti straps to help it stay up? I don't have the boobs mcgee problem so I'm not much help, but I did see the issue when I was bridesmaid dress shopping with my girls on Sunday. Two of them are very blessed and went with a halter top dress because the strapless was just not going to hold those girls in.

Also, yeah, nobody else (except FH hehehe) will get that selfie view of you. Smiley winking The front view looks lovely and not boobalicious at all. You look absolutely lovely. And the selfie is lovely too! But nobody has to see that angle of cleavage if you don't want them to.
