Had my final fitting today...and I HATE the bustle!!

I am wondering how much they charged you for that bustle? I think a one point or a triple french under would look much better. I guess this was apparently their easy way out.

My seamstress did a 3 point under bustle and a 2 point over bustle, there are so many different bustles I can't believe she would say she can't do any of them

MJ- I was chargeg $155 for this non sense...which I paid in advance!! They are going to make a different bustle now...

Ana, I'm glad they are going to do a different bustle. It seems like they might not have a talented seamstress there though, considering she actually thought your first one looked good and was the only option, so if you are still not satisfied, get your money back and find another one in town. And make sure to post pictures of the finished product! Good luck!

I am pretty sure they did that type of bustle because it was the most expensive, and this time of year it is hard to make the sales $$$ that corporate requires - yes this is the way it is.

Im so sorry this happened to you Ana G. Hopefully everything works out when you take it back for them to do this over. Your dress is beautiful and you look beautiful in it. I dont blame you for wanting to look and feel nothing less than beautiful in it.

Christine - Shame on them!! I dont think I should paid the price for them not making the sales required, I didnt even get different bustle options...but now I know that there is planty of options and I will get the bustle I want!!!

My bustle was $55 and is a three point over bustle so don't let them stick you with a big bill for that!

I agree with you Ana! I'd make a fuss and have them do it over...there's no way a seamstress only knows how to do 1 bustle!

No, I don't like that way at all. I think the standard bustle will look much better.

Overbustle $35 for the first 3 points/$7 each additional

Underbustle $50 for the first 3 points/$7 each additional

Seamstresses are supposed to show you different ways and you choose what you like. The choice is supposed to be yours.

If you choose a combination bustle they will probably charge you the initial charges for each type.

Thanks for posting your dilemna... I never thought about my train and how it will be bustled. So this will give me ideas & things to be aware of. I like Christine's tips on a much better bustle. Ana: good luck getting a better bustle. I agree I don't like how they did it. Doesn't do your gorgeous dress any justice.

By the way, Ana, I love your dress. It has always been one of my favorites that DB offers. The lace edge is outstanding.

I'm sorry you don't like your bustle - your dress is gorgeous though. your dress, in my opinion, needs an over bustle...not an under bustle as your alterationist has done. i would ask her to do an over bustle.

my friend was married on the weekend and they did an over on her dress when she needed an under and she hated it and ended up carrying her train all night around her wrist because she hated the bustle they did.

if you still have time, i'd talk to your alterationist about getting an over bustle done to it.

I am so glad you were able to get some help on the bustle from some of the other ladies and that the place is willing to try again. I would hate for you to have to buy another dress when you already love this one so much! Keep us updated on how it goes, don't give up!
