A good friend of mine attended a wedding today. She said she was appalled that some people had on Jeans, as I would be too. I am putting in my invitations about the dress code. And it will be enforced at our wedding. How do you feel about your dress code at your upcoming wedding??

I would never wear jeans to a wedding. That said, if I showed up to a wedding and was turned away at the door because my attire did not meet expectations, I would never speak to the bride or groom ever again. So, I hope you're ok with ending your relationship with someone who was important enough to be invited to your wedding over what they wearing.

If you are ok with that, then go for it!

If you aren't, you might want to keep it to just suggesting a dress code, but not "enforcing" it at the door.

I live in Texas with family from Louisiana. Some people absolutely will show up in jeans and t shirts. A dress code doesn’t have to even be enforced but can still a guide or reminder of what to wear. Finding it rude because of “etiquette” sounds more uptight than having dress codes honestly.
