I'm not getting my FH anything. It's his birthday, so I'll get him a birthday card. I recently ordered him new dress socks and a tie clip, but I think of that as a wedding expense lol. We are paying for the majority of our wedding. That's the gift.

For my dad, I bought his tie and put a tie patch on the inside with a message from me (found on Etsy). I liked it so much I think I’m going to do the same for FH

We aren't doing gifts for each other the day of. The gift is getting married!! Although, we are going to go shopping and get a perfume and cologne for us to wear the day of. He doesnt really wear it, but has always wanted to get a nice cologne for when we go out, so we are going to pick it out together.

He’s getting me, what more does he need? 😜😂 jkjk this is a running joke my FH and I have. I know it’s traditional to get each other gifts, but we’re both putting a lot into our wedding that we figured it made much more sense to save money. Christmas is only 2 months after our wedding so maybe I’ll do something sentimental and wedding related then.

A fun experience Smiley smile I’m arranging a surprise day just for him the weekend before the wedding. Going to the zoo and having a private otter encounter followed by a nice lunch. Not much into things so this is something he loves that we can both enjoy together. Brides can’t have all the fun.

I bought hubby a bottle of his favorite cologne. He'd been out of it for some time.

We didn't do gifts day of. We threw each other a wedding. But it was our 10 year anniversary that day as well and I did leave a sweet card with his clothes.

I am buying him dinosaur cufflinks to wear. I also looked into doing a boudoir shoot, but financially that was a bit much for me to spend this year. Boudoir photos do seem to be a popular gift though.

I also thought about cologne and cufflinks. I am doing a boudoir shoot as well. I would love to get him the watch he wants but it is way out of budget.

I’m getting my fh a watch that looks good with his tux and ring. And on January 1st. I started a notebook and each day I wrote him a letter and I’d put it how our day went and such and signed each letter love , future mrs. Johannes.

I find that a meaningful gift can be more important than an expensive gift, especially when- as many are saying- the wedding is a gift in itself!

A love letter, a scrapbook of your favourite moments/dates/holidays together, a small book with an inscription (Shakespeare's collective sonnets, Song of Songs, and Chris Riddell's 100 Hugs are lovely options), a mixtape of songs that are significant to both of you (lots of romantic custom CD sleeves available on Etsy)... something low-cost but higher effort that will last forever.

Of course, more traditional gifts are great too, there are just ideas Smiley smile Cologne, spirits, designer socks, etc. are all wonderful gifts that last a long time and mean a lot!

We wrote each other notes all the time for fun and/or when we pack each other a lunch we throw a note in there. We both keep all of them so I’m going to put all of them in a shadow box and wrote a new one about marrying him!!!

I'm getting him cuff links that have coordinates on them. Haven't decided if they will be for where we got engaged or where we're getting married.

I got a picture of what the stars are going to look like on the day we get married with a picture of us and the date and time we get married underneath. I got a Groupon for it from My Sky Moment. It is something unique that commemorates the day that he can have forever.
