Gift for the groom or partner on wedding day

We agreed early on not to get each other gifts since we are paying for everything ourselves but another WW user posted her garter that she got and I couldn't resist. Our house is definitely a sports house and divided! I cannot wait for him to see it!

My fiance's friend's parents suggested to my fiance that he get me a hockey Jersey. He jokingly said he needed a new one.
I feel like we just bought a house, are going to be paying for a wedding, and taking a 12 day honeymoon. Spending more money seems wasteful.

I wanted to get him a smart watch but Christmas is 2 months before ourt wedding, so that most likely will be his Christmas gift, plus we are paying for alot of the wedding and a 10 day honeymoon out of the country 2 weeks later, so money will be tight at that moment. I think I might get him some SF giants cuff links (he LOVES them) and write him a note, and have it brought to him when he is getting ready. We are getting ready at the venue in different parts of the location.

We aren't doing gifts and this post makes me feel so much better about it lol. We decided to splurge on our honeymoon instead and put what we thought we might spend on each other into that. I am surprising him with a customized Red Sox jersey (me too), and both will say our (my new) last name and 20 since we're getting married in 2020.

I bought my guy his shoes for the wedding. It was something he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to get. He had designed a pair on a tailoring website, but they were thought to be out of his budget. So I went ahead and bought them for him, and i will be surprising him with them right before the wedding. He is currently planning on wearing just an ordinary pair of dress shoes he got from Goodwill.
