Getting you’re ring soldered?

Are you ladies getting you’re ring and your wedding band soldered together or keeping them apart? I have just a single band for my wedding band, not the guard that’s on each side of the engagement ring. I’m wanting to get mine soldered together but just not sure if I should do it before the wedding or after. If I do it before the wedding should I not wear my ring until after I’m married since it will have the band on it already?
I’m a hot mess hahahaha

If you get it done before hand you won’t wear your engagement ring until the wedding. You’ll probably get the ring cleaned a few weeks ahead of the wedding, and you won’t want to wear it after it gets cleaned so getting it soldered ahead of time won’t be a problem. Most people wear a stand in ring the month before

It’s completely up to you if you wear it or not. For me, I didn’t want to wear my wedding band before the wedding, so when they soldered it together I just didn’t wear a ring for a bit!

My jeweler recommended that I get my band soldered to my e ring (something about the diamonds on the band could get worn down by my e ring... not completely sure what he said). I'm probably going to do it but am waiting until after the wedding! I also only have a single band right now, but FH said he'd like to get me a guard in the future.

I am keeping my rings separate. I may want to wear my wedding band without my engagement ring too some days. My rings have a thicker band though. I think either option of soldering before or after would be fine though! Maybe do it before if you're going on your honeymoon right after if you know you'll be wearing your rings?
