Friday the 13th Wedding

My fiance first asked me to be his girlfriend AND told me he loved me for the first time on Friday the 13th(s)! So Friday the 13th is our thing. Naturally we're getting married Friday Sept 13, 2019 I love it because we have very little vendor competition, lol!

It’s fun! I’m getting married this September on Friday the 13th. My dating Anniversary was April Fool’s Day so we figured we’d kick marriage off with a bang!


Besides, 13 is lucky!

I'm getting married Decmeber 13th of this year, which is a Friday. We actually thought it was really funny and we've enjoyed people's reactions to finding out the date. We originally wanted the 14th since our dating anniversary started on the 14th of a month but there was such a significant price difference between Friday weddings and Saturday weddings that we took the 13th instead.

My fiancé and I are both horror movie fanatics. Even though we originally tried for September 14th, it was cheaper on a Friday, and now we are super excited to be getting married on a Friday the 13th. Our cake topper is a Jason's mask that says Mr. and Mrs. and for our honeymoon, we are already planning on getting a tattoo with Jason's mask (mine probably with a veil) with the date on it. Everyone's different, but to us, we don't believe in the superstition.

We actually sought out a month with a Friday the 13th in it. We got legally married on March 13th this year so we could schedule our ceremony for Friday, March 13th, 2020 and have it be on our anniversary. We both love the idea of viewing Friday the 13th as good luck instead of bad luck. And he's a huge horror movie buff whose favorite franchise is, you guessed it, Friday the 13th. So, it just made sense to us. If you're not superstitious I wouldn't worry about it, even if people make a big deal. That's their problem, not yours.

I think Friday the 13th is awesome. If it doesn't bother you then who cares what everyone thinks. You'll be able to do some fun little nods to the date too, if you wanted to that is.

13 is actually a lucky number in Italy! So if you're nervous, just pretend you're Italian for the day! =)

We chose Friday the 13th for several reasons. One, because we are HUGE Halloween people, it will be my birthday and I didn't want to wait another 1-2 years to have Halloween on a Friday or Saturday. For my fiancee and I, 13 is our lucky number

A few years ago, my cousin got married on a Friday the 13th. They had an awesome wedding and have been having an awesome marriage, so don't let it get to you!

My wedding is on Friday the 13th this coming September!! I picked the date because of the full moon!! I loved that my favorite moon fell on Friday the 13th! I was born on 6/13 which was a Friday, and my fiance doesn't care one way or another lol. I am not superstitious at all, in fact my kids and I do rituals around the house daily!!🤩🤩🤩

Me and my fiance first started dating on September 13, 2015 and it just so happened to work out well that we could get married on September 13, 2019 on a Friday!

My best friend got married on Friday the 13th in 2013. They were ic Colorado and it ended up being in the middle of a national disaster when it was flooding. The day of their wedding their venue was underwater. They ended up having the ceremony in the hotel lobby (roads were closed and neither I nor her ofther MOH could make it, we were less then 20 minutes away and neither of us could get there due to flooding). She managed to get a community center of an apartment complex booked with the help of her dads girlfriend and reception was held there. Most of her vendors made it, but the cake couldn’t that bakery was flooded. It was a beautiful reception and I think the Bride handled it all well though she did break down a little when she say me that afternoon. Nothing went as planned but their marriage is rock solid. They have 2 beautiful kids now.

I believe in the law of attraction! You attract what you believe...for example you wake up one morning you’re running late, spill coffee on yourself etc if you focus on having a “bad” day you’ll attract that energy! And vice verse! I believe Friday the 13th is just another day...in your eyes your wedding day!!! It will be awesome, you’ll see!!

My Finance and I are also getting married on a Friday the 13th, 9/13/19. We are not superstitious and have found the 13th to be a lucky day. The numbers on our apartment add up to 13 (436), My birthday is on the 13th, my sisters birthday is also on the 13th. We share birthdays even though she is 5 years older than I am. There are other synchronicities as well. Whether you believe it to be lucky or unlucky, it is your beliefs that choose the outcome.
