Friday the 13th Wedding

I'm getting married on Friday, March 13, 2020

We are getting married Sunday October 13th which is different obviously... BUT will have anniversaries eventually that are on Friday the 13th. I know its not the same but in my mind its just a day! I say go for it and don't think twice about it! Things always go wrong in weddings (smaller things usually) but if you get this Friday the 13th logic in your head whenever something goes wrong thats what you will go and blame it on and in reality its a wedding and I don't know anyone whose day has gone 100%without a hiccup. Theres always something so I wouldn't dwell on it!

We are getting married on Friday September 13th. We were hoping for a Saturday wedding but since our venue didn't have Saturday availability in September we decided on Friday the 13th. I was born on the 13th and it is my lucky number so it just made sense. Not superstitious here

My wedding was April 13, 2019 but it landed on a Saturday. Regardless I don't believe in bad luck just because the day your wedding lands on.

Good vibes = Good Vibes. If you and your husband don't believe in that superstitious stuff that don't worry about it.

I'm getting married on a Friday the 13th! This September!! the reactions are priceless, and me and the FH die laughing every time people give us a funny look. It's honestly just fitting for who we are and the only date our two venues were available to us!

Mine landed and we thought about that but neither of us believe it. Also it is cheaper and your people is going to be there no matter what.

I don't think it is bad luck. We are getting married September 13th 2019. We also have two children already, so it didn't really matter to us.

We purposely picked Friday the 13th because of it originally being considered good luck, whenever someone says something, we just tell them that😁

We're getting married this September 13th. And honestly I try not to think about it, what's helped me is quoting Michael Scott on The Office "I'm not superstitious, just a little stitious" and then laugh. It's only a date and regardless will be the best date since my and FH are getting married..

Also September is such a fantastic time on the east coast to get married!

I’m also getting married on Friday the 13th- September 13, 2019! My fiancé and I purposefully chose that date too because it fits our personalities and sense of humor. It also kind of ties into the type of work that I do so there was absolutely no hesitation to select that date when we found out that it was available.

We’ve heard about all of the superstitions, but they don’t bother us and we don’t feel like it would be bad luck. Our families actually laughed when they found out that we were getting married on Friday the 13th because it was more or less expected of us.

Don’t let other people discourage you though, it’s your day and the date is special to the two of you. When it comes down to it, that’s all that matters.

I'm getting married September, Friday the 13th 2019! not superstitious and I love love love Halloween. (Actually a nightmare before Christmas themed wedding) so it works for us. Also got a major discount on venue as they didnt think they could get rid of that date lol

I am super excited to be getting married on September 13th 2019. 13 is my lucky number and although I love superstitions, I'm not afraid of any of them. We're planning all sorts of fun things to see how superstitious our friends and family really are. It also just so happens to be a mini full moon on our wedding as well so double the excitement and fun. I personally feel that with the full moon it's going to be a day full of love and magick. I've also always loved Black cats, mostly because so many people are afraid of them - I've rescued 3 total.

I think it's not a big deal! It makes your anniversary easier to remember for sure, even if it's not on a Friday!

We picked our Friday the 13th date because it was the last good day for a fall wedding which is important to us living in Las Vegas. I was worried at first, but then I realized our date is 9/13/19 and I came to love it. Odd numbers has been good to us and the year 2013 was a very good year for us so this date became very special.

Not sure if this makes you feel better, but me and my fiance purposely picked Friday the 13th of September 2019. We thought it would be kind of funny and used it as a theme in our Save the Dates.
