Free wedding invite diy designing recommendations

Jmz, on November 10, 2019 at 4:29 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 6

Hi guys! So I'm hoping to leisurely start drafting our wedding invites which we'll be sending out in June/July. I started using Adobe Spark to make the invites from scratch and was browsing Etsy to purchase some artist-made clipart to decorate with. (I'm going for blue flowers + foliage and I'm going to try and find a red double happiness character as well since we're incorporating Chinese elements for my fiancé's family.)

Anybody have any recommendations on *free* programs/websites I could use to design the invites? And has anyone used clipart? Maybe I'm over-thinking it but I can't imagine it's so easy to just download and add them on... or is it?

I really appreciate any advice you have! Smiley smile

I'm designing my invites, but I found a youtuber giving tutorial on invites and she gave this website that offers free printables. The designs are very pretty.

Also, I think there's a website called canvas, that you can design on. I haven't tried I also watched some YouTube videos.

Thanks! I'll check it out and definitely YouTube should be a good source of inspiration. I am wanting to make them completely myself though, not just plug info into a template although I know there's plenty of options like that.

Oh got you! Try to check canvas, that I'm pretty sure is a website you can design. You can always try use publisher, I think Google has a similar app. Corel Draw has a free trial for 30 day I think.

I'm designing my own programs! I started to do invites but they weren't turning out like I wanted. I use Adobe Illustrator for that. Have you checked out Canva? It's a website for designing cards, logos, invites and the like. I would try that as well. There are websites you can find to download commercial free vector art or images

I did my own (designed, printed and assembled) just using photoshop. My FH found a general look he liked and I used that as inspiration. I have never used Adobe Spark.

I would suggest browsing through Pinterest and Google to get an idea of the overall look you want then you can start looking at fonts, colors, clipart etc. You can also go on Vista Print. They have a took that lets you see the design as you go. That may help with some inspiration as well since they supply a lot of different looks, cliparts etc.

Wow!! Looks so good with the multi textures involved. 👌😊 I've got a pretty clear vision of what we want, but I want to make sure I'm using the best possible editing site. I'll check out Vista Print. Thanks for the suggestions. 😊

Also, I have tested using clipart I've downloaded and adding it onto the Adobe Spark program... And it is very easy! So that's a good thing.
