Well, I don't eat sugar, so I'll have keto cupcakes...
My niece is a pastry chef , so probably buttercream icing with fondant decorations for the main Wedding cake.

Buttercream all the way! Although fondant is beautiful and smooth looking, it taste disgusting! We’re big on taste not looks and we want our guests to enjoy our cake so we’re definitely doing buttercream!

We are doing a little of both. the cupcakes will be done in buttercream w/edible tops on them. And then the grooms cake will actually be both, but mostly in buttercream with some fondant on it.
