Ora Beth is the best!
In all the stress and aspects of wedding planning, cake selection was a surprise favorite. It helps that Orabeth is fantastic. Truthfully I approached cake more as an ornamental part of the wedding and I didn't have high expectations. I was really happy that Flour&Bloom offered both - a cake that looked good and tasted good.Sent on 03/24/2020
I set up a tasting of cake and minis. You get to try all 10 flavors and there are styrofoam sizes which helps visualize your cake. Flavors are all delicious and you can't really go wrong. I chose Tiramisu for both my layers.
I was adamant about a buttercream finish which ran counter to the design I chose. It took me a while to decide. But Ora Beth was patient and sweet about my dilemma. She reassured me that the high quality of fondant they use (i can testify) and she worked it out with my caterer to peel the fondant before serving. In the end I went with a two-tier fondant. No regrets! Was worried that the actual cake wouldn't live up to the tasting but I was wrong. It was SO GOOD. My guests all said it was delicious. Not overly sweet and very moist. Perfect. Wish I could have her cake for every occasion and just for the heck of it.

Can't stop thinking about our wedding cakes
We worked with Elaine Bell Catering for our wedding meal, which is how we came to work with Flour & Bloom. The day of our tasting, we met Ora Beth, and she completely won us over with her professionalism and enthusiasm for what she does. We tasted all 10 types of cake, as she walked us through all the flavors, and we ultimately decided on 4 flavors: vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, chocolate chip espresso, almond cake with raspberry buttercream and preservers, and chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. She was so understanding of our wanting more than one flavor and helped work with us to get the right sizes for each cake so we would have enough (but not too much leftover) for the wedding. I cannot even begin to express how beautiful these cakes looked AND tasted!! They completely exceeded our expectations. Best cake ever
Our cake was perfect- both beautiful and delicious. Ora Beth is the best! From the very beginning she listened to what we were looking for and provided an array of options for our special day. The tasting process was probably the highlight of wedding planning for me. We were able to come up with three flavor tiers and go a little off the standard menu. Ora Beth was great in adapting to our ever growing vision of what started off as a small cutting cake. My family has an affinity for baked goods, so we ended up with 3 tiers that grew in diameter during our engagement. We received so many compliments from our guests on how good the cake was at our wedding! After starving ourselves for months up to the wedding you better believe we gorged ourselves on leftover cake for our first day of being married. Our cake was so perfect in every way. Our wedding planner gave us the best advice after our wedding and said rather than freeze a layer, order a cake every year on your anniversary and share it with those that you love.
