Flowers for Destination Wedding

MrsS2013, on April 9, 2013 at 9:33 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

So we're getting married in Vegas, in a chapel providing me and FH with real roses. I am not about to pay alot of money for a small bouquet for the MOH and FG, so I decided I am going to make silk ones and bring them along. So now I have a couple of questions.

1)This is a pretty informal 10 minute wedding. I dont' think my dad will be coming (money) and FMIL won't be there. FFIL might come, we don't know yet. Most everyone showing are friends. So will those parents coming need corsage/bout?

2) FH and I will be getting peach roses. I'm making a kissing ball with spring flowers for the FG, and the flowers I found yesterday for MOH is same color family but a little more victorian I think. Do all the flowers have to match styles wise? They will end up looking different. I don't have much say over the chapel's bouquet altho I may email and find out if they can use my ribbon to carry that across.

3) Due to the informal nature, will the BM need a flower too?

Thanks

    1) It's not the question of need, it's what you want. We had a local wedding and real flowers, and there were no corsages or bouts. I hate corsages and H didn't want bouts.

    2) No.

    3) Get her one flower or a clutch or something to carry.

    1) Agree with Mrs S! Its what you want. My mom/dad and FH mom/dad (if they come) will not have one.

    2) Dont have to match perfectly, again its what you want.

    3) I would have the BM carry a single flower at least. I am not a fan of the clutch.
