Me and my fiancé are getting married in Palm Harbor, Fl on September 22, 2019 - it’s a beautiful location with an outdoor ceremony in front of an oak tree and lake. But just as we are signing for the venue, my fiancé’s Aunt says “Wait - September? Oh... rain”

Now I am absolutely paranoid about missing out on the beautiful ceremony location and outdoor photos because I’m so worried I made the wrong decision by choosing September. We have an indoor backup location, but I’m not in love with it.

Has anyone else gotten married in September in Florida? Outdoors? What was your experience? Did it rain, and how was it?

I think hearing from other brides might help my frayed nerves... thanks

Hi Judith! Welcome to the WeddingWire Community! I really hope you get to have the wedding of your dreams without the rain! Although you may not love your alternative indoor location, it's still a great idea that you have prepared for it. Also, since you plan to have an outdoor ceremony, are you considering using a tent?

Hey Judith, I am in the same boat as you with the outside ceremony. There is always a chance of rain on any day in Florida. Just be optimistic and keeping speaking into existence that "It will NOT rain on my wedding day" and even if it does it will stop in time for the ceremony to still be outside! #FingersCrossed

Hey Judith! What about offering umbrellas to your guests just in case? We're going to offer sunglasses, flip flops, throws and tissues.

This could just be a fun, individual thing you do?

We are less than 3 weeks out from our outdoor ceremony/reception and the extended forecast shows rain & storms. However, in Florida, that could change by the day. We do not have an indoor option, but we are definitely getting tents...just in case. It's not what I prefer, but I'd rather that than rainy day chaos.
