Fitting into my wedding dress

I watched this video on youtube the other day and it really just hit hard. Give it a watch and remind yourself that you are perfect the way you are, there is nothing wrong with wanting to loose weight for your wedding but make sure you have a healthy intention behind it. Don't just make it about being skinny.. Make it about being Healthy and Happy!! Everyone has insecurities but try to remind yourself that all this hard work is more than just trying to fit into a wedding dress.

For me all the work I'm doing is just to feel more confident in general, I want to be able to just live freely without worrying about my lumps and bumps showing, that's my motivation.

At the end of the day, its just impossible and you just cant remove a rib to fit into a dress.. its the dress, not you. You are beautiful just the way you are Smiley heart

My FH asked me what I was watching and was horrified that women go to such lengths to fit into their dresses. He’s like, “why wouldn’t you just buy the dress size that fits you?”

Right!! It seems so silly yet so normal at the same time. We are always drilled that we have to look slim be what society sees as "hot". And when clothes don't fit us it automatically goes to us being the problem when in reality there is nothing wrong with just sizing up!

Exactly! Instead of just accepting I wear X size, we get in our heads that we should be X size. When she said she needed to loose two inches around her waist I was like GIRL, but then if I’m honest with myself Ive set ridiculous expectations like that for myself too. As a mother to a very impressionable little girl, I hope that Im setting a better example for her.
