First dance song help...is this appropriate?

Sooo, DH and I have been struggling for a long time with a first dance song. Neither of us "dance" and he swears he has no rhythm lol. We have very different tastes in music. However, Ty W. just posted that thread about a wedding on a cruise and one of my fave songs came on, Cruisin' together sung by Huey Lewis and Gwen Paltrow. I was wondering if that would be an appropriate 1st dance song?

    You don't think the 'one night stand' part might be borderline? we're not uber conservative or anything.. i just didnt want ppl to talk crap about us .. lol

    No the one night stand says "this is NOT a one night stand"...meaning is solid. =) I wanna hear the song but the lyrics are pretty good

    I can guarantee you that everyone has heard this song, and made up their own lyric...I am completely guilty of this especially with this song ....so everyone will be singing in their mind as you dance not really hearing whats being played but whats in their heads... I say go for it

    I don't think it's innapropriate and the one night stand verse is fine I think. It says this is NOT a one night stand...if it was saying it IS a one night stand, that'd be a dif thing I think lol

    Hey, FH wants our first dance to be Bittersweet Symphony, so I dont think it's at all inappropriate.

    Cruisin is a good song and very appropriate....Our first song is going to be guns n roses....a bit less romantic I think...
