First Dance - How did you learn/practice?

Take a shot beforehand? LOL

FH and I are doing a slow song that morphs into salsa, so we're just going to wing it

We're dancing to our song. I hadn't actually thought about practicing--not doing choreographed. I'm assuming FH remembers how to hold me and sway and I can not fall over... it may have been 5 years since we slow danced other than in the kitchen for the cats' amusement. he talks about always wanting to dip me though, so maybe we can practice that and he can do it at the end.

Some people go for dancing lessons, but I would also just wing it- you want it to be organic, not a step by step practiced dance.

At this one wedding I went to ages ago the groom was actually counting his steps, kept looking at his feet the entire time. The poor bride kept looking at him dreamily obviously hoping to get a good shot of them looking at each other all lovingly.

If all else fails I'm sure holding each other close and swaying from side to side will come across as romantic.

Youtube has videos that will show you the basic steps. FH is a wonderful dancer believe it or not. I really don't feel comfortable with my dancing, so I would really like at least one class. I don't want the whole dance to be planned out step by step. I want to learn the basics and a few moves. Adding twirls, and dips. lol

I think we are going to take dance lessons also, FH said we don't need them..lol

Dance lessons aren't in our budget and boy do we did them, lol

Our 1st dance will be on "Whatever You Want" by Tony, Toni, Tone.

Knowing us, we will just do the "2-steps" side to side & maybe a dip here or there, lol
