Been on wedding planning hold since we're in the middle of moving, so I wanted to share my wedding invites. Took advantage of my trip to Vietnam to get them done! Wasn't exactly what the fiance wanted, but I told him he can do his celestial theme on our STD instead. 200 invites for about $157. A couple from Australia saw my card at the shop when it was finished and asked the shop why they didn't see this before. But I had just designed it by combining a few of the existing designs a few days before, so they didn't have it on hand. Foil press takes a day or two, then they have to laser cut them.
Biggest pain was trying to figure out the translation for everything. In English, the pronoun "you" is neutral so you can use it for all genders and ages. In Vietnamese, it's very formal where we have to address everyone by their proper titles, which required me to put a line in so I can write the person's name. Had a separate insert for the Tea Ceremony so I could send it to specific individuals only; Forgot the date on there, but it's the same day - word of mouth it is. RSVP card is a bit busy - could have made font smaller in some areas, but I'll live. Apparently it's common in Vietnam for the groom and the bride's side to print their own invites because the ceremonies are actually called different names! Nobody has time (or money) for that! I'm getting one and done.
