How did everyone find their perfect place? Weve found one but its pricey and over 2 hours away from home.

We checked out one before choosing ours (second venue we looked into) we gave both been together wedding there in the past and it just fit all our check points so we couldn’t pass it up

We actually picked the one and only venue we toured. I did a lot of online research beforehand and it was the only one that checked all of my boxes. There was another I LOVED but it was double the price. A few others just didn't have our date or were too far (I don't think a venue should be more than an hour away from most of your guests). If it's further than an hour more people may need to get a hotel. If you think most people would be okay with that then 2 hours isn't terrible, but if you think most will drive home after then it's too far, especially for older family members
