favors - what's the WORST one you ever received?

So, people are always asking if they are necessary (and they're not) and what the best ones were (most people say edible is the best) but just for fun, whats the worst one you ever got? Mine was a rolled up scroll thingy with a cutsie poem on it, thanking everyone for coming. Complete with a fake silver wedding ring around it. It was about as big as a post it note. Could've put that on the back of the program, what a waste of money and time to roll them all up... anyway what about you? :-)

I guess the worst favors I have ever received were those buttermints. Yuck.

We are having place cards that double as favors. I am handpainting 6 X 6 beach scenes and other points of interest from the beachtown our wedding renewal is being held. I plan on tying a ribbon around each with the guest's name on one side and a short note about how happy we are that they are there on the back. They will be at each placesetting. We are only having 50 guests, and the renewal isn't until 6/24/17 so I have time to get them all done.

@Anna-- I think those favors sound adorable if you can afford them! They would definitely be a hit with our crowd.

I must be the only person in the world who actually likes the taste of jordan almonds LOL (unless someone else posted this... not gonna lie, i only read through page 1 before posting lol).

The only favour I ever remember receiving that i would consider "the worst" was a very cheap plastic book notepad (i.e it was a miniature note pad inside of a plastic book covering) with an attached pen. It had the couples names and date on the front of it... it was the worst mainly just because it was very cheap and tacky looking.

If it is not edible, I am typically upset that I feel obliged to "take the trinket from the table" since so many of the favors are all the same. Chocolates are a good bet - like Hershey's Kisses - most people like them and if you don't like them, someone at work will take them.

Favors I have taken and later thrown away are:

Personalized votive candles - I don't want a one use item with your name on it

Koozies - I have never known anyone who uses a koozie, esp. a personalized one

CHEAP bottle openers - if they cost less than $3 a piece they will bend and break on the first use

The silly card holder "intended" to be a favor - what on earth will I do with ONE card holder?

Paper match books - again, the cardboard just bends and you can't use them

Those tiny bells where you buy a box of 30 for $10 at Hobby Lobby

And this is why I am not having any. I was going to do a jar of jam (I am huge caner so this is normal for me) but I decided I could spend my money somewhere else.

The worst one I ever got was a book mark. It had nothing to do with the wedding nor was it useful. I tried to use it to mark a magazine the magazine got stepped on the the bookmark broke, it was plastic.

    Nail clippers? Oh boy.

Don't think I've ever ended up with anything too terrible... but I do recall one wedding where the favor was something heart shaped, wrapped in tulle, and NO ONE at my table could figure out if it was soap or a food. Turned out to be a cookie.

Yep, they had a little cute bag and one of the items were nail clippers. It was a beach theme... So I'm guessing they were trying to help the people with gross toenails out, cause nobody wants to see gross feet at the beach.. Ugh it was weird.
