Don't Wanna Miss a Thing (Aerosmith). It makes me think of a daddy with his baby girl. <3

My Little Girl by Tim McGraw...I didn't use it as our father/daughter dance but instead used it as the song we walked down the aisle to because I used "Life Without You" by Stevie Ray Vaughan...not something most people think of when you say Father/Daughter dance but my father and I share a great and deep connection when it comes to that song...he sang it to me as I was growing up.

I had actually considered "wild horses" by the rolling stones.

I guess I'm the oddball huh? Or maybe something by Elton john...my dad and I both really like him and used to listen to him a lot when I was a kid..

I keep telling my dad he needs to have some input on this topic and all he ever says is "How about James Taylor?!" but I can't get any song titles out of him.

I remember listening to a lot of JT as a kid because my dad was a big fan but I cannot for the life of me think of any of his songs that might be a good father/daughter dance song.

I'm using Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion, because that's how I feel about my dad.

Just add coffee, I would do a google search for James Taylor songs, look up videos and lyrics to find one that suits. That's what I ended up doing kind of last minute. We had originally planned on doing a choreographed surprise dance to "Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" but we ended up not being able to, so I had to find something else. Dad loves crooners, so I looked through Sinatra and Tony Bennett, and he decided on Tony's version of The Way You Look Tonight. It wasn't exactly a special, 'us' song, and didn't have as much thought put into it as all the other music (which was my big thing), but it certainly has special meaning to us now!

My dad played a lot of JT for me when I was little too. What about Secret Of Life?

OP, I'm not much help. I'm surprising my dad with the Godfather Waltz because he loves that series so much.

Love Tim's McGraw's "My Little Girl" and Bob Carlisle's "Butterfly Kisses," but they make my dad cry :p We're using Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" because he loves that song and it reminds me of him.

This is by far the hardest decision I had to make so far! I've gone back and forth quite a few times, but for now I'm settled on Never Alone by Lady Antebellum. I also really like When YOu Come Back down by Nickle Creek. I'm just trying to stay away from the more overused father/daughter songs.

I'm using 'My Girl' by the Temptations. It's a more upbeat song and we can fun dancing to it. My father and I have lots of happy times together, so a slower more sentimental song just wouldn't be 'us'.

I may be the only TSwift fan around, but we're using The Best Day, it's such an adorable song and really speaks to my childhood Smiley smile
