So I’m not that close to my dad but I do have a relationship with him, I’m just not a daddy’s girl. I don’t want a sappy song to dance to with him and all of the songs that I have heard are SUPER sappy. I was also thinking of just combining the mother/son and father/daughter dance together but not sure...

    Would you feel comfortable asking him for input? I told my dad to pick a song fully expecting him to choose Butterfly Kisses because I got him the CD and the book based on the song when I was little, but he wanted something more upbeat and ended up picking Father and Daughter by Paul Simon. Might not hurt to see what he's thinking at least

    A song I always suggest when someone is looking for something not super emotional is 'What a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong. This would also work great if you decided to combine the two spotlight dances!
