She has to have a minimum of 100 people but she says even if less than that come she has to pay for that many people anyway. But she has a feeling because half of her Guests are out of town that she’s gonna have a pretty small guest list anyway

I am fine but I am also eloping so either way I am good to go. My personal opinion is do not focus on the amount of people that can come rather than having your day marrying your partner. That's the best part. Smiley smile

We're still a go for our stateside reception and DW. We may have to lower the guest list but we'll see. We were only planning for 80 and may have to take it down to 50. Im going to reach out to our venue tomorrow, since they haven't said anything to me yet.

We were getting married 9/19/20 in Los Angeles County but ended up postponing to next year at our venue’s recommendation. We’ve been planning for a long time, which they know, so they suggested to wait so we can have our special out of town guests and not have to wear face masks.

Getting married in NY august 30 and Ive been trying my best to understand new yorks “reopening phases.” All my venue knows is that they can open second week of july but not a clue as to what rules will still be in place. So we’re not even going to reach out to them until end of July when we can see what the situation is then. Part of me just wants to postpone so I dont have to deal with this anymore but the thought of postponing a second time also makes me want to gag lol

We just discussed our plan A,B&C this weekend. Everyone’s safety & comfort is our number one priority. We’re sticking to our plan A but plan to make a final assessment in August,

Our October wedding is still a go. While Texas is opening up faster than other states, about half our 160 expected guests are from out of town/state so we expect a significant drop in attendance and completely understand (though it majorly stinks, their safety/comfort/health is more important.) The frustrating part in all this is people are unsure when to make a definitive decision to come or not come because we are all waiting to see how this pandemic goes. The wait game is the worst. We are looking into streaming options but haven’t found anything local yet.

Fairly small, about 140. And we are getting married in Tarrytown. I really can’t tell either way at this point, do you think everything will be normal by then?

I'm in CA, and getting married on 10/10 this year. The state is opening up fast and has been a little worrisome for me. But so far it's still a go and my venue seems pretty positive that we'll be okay by then. I'm inviting about 50 guests but expect about 40 to come. The only things that will be a challenge is the social distancing protocols, like spacing out chairs for ceremony, and seating households during the reception. My venue will also be providing hand sanitizer, and face masks. I'm hoping by October things will start to look better.

Hi there, my wedding is October 17, 2020. I’m just trying to stay optimistic with hopes that we will be able to have our big day with friends and family there as planned. We invited 200 and I know all of them won’t be able to make it due to COVID fear. Have you all booked your honeymoon already? We haven’t booked ours yet bc things are so up in the air, curious what other Fall brides have done.

We were getting married 9/20/20 but we decided to postpone to 7/31/2021. The thought that social distancing could still be in effect, masks being required, no hugs, all made us both very depressed to think about so we decided ultimately the best option would be to postpone. We don't want people who would normally have been there not be able to come for fears of the virus, or travel restrictions holding them back. We've already been engaged for a year and a half, had everything booked for a year, so having to postpone kinda feels like a big blow but we know it's the best option. Plus FH just started a new job and having it next summer will allow him to have more vacation time to take off, so it worked out in the end.
