Date is 10/24/2020. I’m still going forward as though I’ll be able to have my dream wedding, though my FH & I have discussed that if that wasn’t possible then we’d still get married that day in a private ceremony and then celebrate with vow renewal and party later on. I feel certain I can change my date with the venue without extra fees. Not sure about photographer, but those are my only vendors. The rest is friend and family helping.

I’m only inviting 150. Ceremony is outdoors and I’m hoping the weather will be great for the reception to be in and out. Dancing and food inside, games outside and mingling not.

Currently in a holding pattern on planning anything as my county in Oregon is still in lockdown and won’t begin phase one for at least a week.

My wedding is supposed to be 10/17 but we have many coming from out of town, several from abroad including my sister and her family, and my brother in law is immune compromised as are a few other guests. Right now I am leaning towards postponing as I want to actually be able to hug my friends and family on our wedding day and their safety is the most important thing.
We might still do a small thing on 10/17 but have not decided yet. We are waiting until the end of July to make a final decision.

We are 10/3 in Pleasanton CA at 150 guests and trying to postpone but are getting pushback from our venue.

We’re 10/25, and we discussed tonight we’re moving it to Nov. 2021. We wanted to make a decision before invites go out. Reasons being...
    1) We’re in no rush to get married
    2) We have a food/beverage fee minimum we have to hit, regardless how many guests are there. And if 50 people don’t show up out of 160, and the states are opened, they’re not going to adjust our fees. 3) All of my family has to hop on a plane and fly from NYC and surrounding areas (over 50% of the guest list) and we don’t want them to risk their health, or have to make the hard decision to come or not. 4) We want more time to save 5) The anxiety leading up making a decision has been debilitating, and I’m over not knowing how the rest of the year will be like. It all came to a head when my mom told me she was scared of hosting me a bridal shower, my best friend was supposed to make my invites as a gift and her Letterplace company where she works closed down for good because of Covid, and the whispers in my family have been too much.
There’s a lot of stuff going on in the world, and at the end of the day, I know a lot of couples and brides are realizing, it’s just ONE day. I just want this all to work out as best as we can. There’s only so much we can control, we so I want to control at least our date with the pandemic HOPEFULLY out of harms way.

I'm also getting married in October in Pleasanton. What venue will you be using? I checked in with them a month ago they were offering postponements free of charge or keeping our date but I would need to check in next month to see if anything has changed.

    Hi Christina,

I'm getting married at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton. What venue are you using? I reached out to them in early June to see if I could postpone but was told that it was too early and that I needed to wait.

Wow thats a lot of people. We are hoping not but I think its a possibility. I've seen other brides on here say their venues are allowing bigger guest list so I think it depends on the state.
