I got a fake engagement ring off of Amazon. I use it for vacations, where I still want to wear a ring but don't want to lose it doing something fun, get robbed/have it stolen, or wear it in the water.
@S&J It is a bit silly, but I wore a cheap ring I already had on our honeymoon. We were newlyweds and I loved having a ring on for that, but I didn't want my ring with me on the beach. It turned out to be useful in other times when I had my rings soldered together and I wanted to wear something when I didn't have my ring for two weeks.
I already have a cheap QVC ring (nothing like my actual ring) and we got a $13 ring for H on Amazon (his actual ring was $400 and he didn't want to wear it on the honeymoon either!). If you want a true replica of your own ring you might need to take it to a local place.
I got one from Amazon- we got engaged not long before going on a cruise & I wanted to wear a ring but felt nervous about bringing my real one. But of course I forgot to make the switch and went with my real ring, haha.
I got this one from amazon to wear while my ring is being resized (just so excited to be engaged, lol) it's actually pretty similar to my real one. places like kohls or target might have nice cheap ones.
I personally am not a fan of silicone ones (or rings in general haha) so I see myself just taking it off in the future when I do more intense/risky activities.
I personally would not feel comfortable wearing my heirloom e-ring on work trips, vacations, etc. Silicone rings aren't my style at all so, for those occasions, I bought a couple of $10-$20 rings on Etsy that I like but wouldn't mind losing. They look nothing like my real one, though. If I was doing something crazy physically active, which - let's be real - is rare, I just wouldn't wear one.
