Extremely disappointed with our wedding photos...

Just know you are not alone. We paid over 4K for our photos and they really missed the mark. So sorry for you. We got our photos back about a month ago and I’m already getting over it, but was really upset for a week or two.

Unfortunately, no clues at all, came with recommendations and seemed to know his job. That's why I was so surprised.

My one recommendation-do engagement shots with your photog! We would have possibly known how he would photograph us.

I'm curious to see what the portfolio looked like. Maybe email and ask if they sent the unedited ones on accident?

I'd be pissed if my photos came out like this.

@SOS, I thought of you! It is really a shock, that is for sure. We were hoping to give some nice pictures as Christmas presents-I don't think we will be doing that now .

My husband is so positive, he said they weren't that bad!

I would reach out to the photographer. Those do not look poor quality. I am so sorry you're dealing with this.

@Missy, I have thought about that, I just wanted to go through the pics again and make sure I wasn't being overly critical.

You look beautiful but the quality and lighting is not great. I would definitely speak with your photographer.

You should definitely ask if they sent you the wrong images! It does look like these haven’t been edited at all. And if this is as good as it gets, you should tell him that you’re disappointed and ask for a partial refund.

You look beautiful! But unfortunately I definitely see what you're saying. They lack anything special. They look like pictures, not photography if that makes sense. I'm sorry you're disappointed.

Yes it makes perfect sense, I choose this particular photog because of the artistic images he can create-why it didn't happen with ours leaves me puzzled.

You're definitely overexposed and it looks like the white balance is off in the indoor shots. Definitely talk to the photographer. There is some things you can do to fix it up a bit. A couple of the shots aren't too bad. But, agreed a lot of these look like an amateur.

Good advice to others about engagement shoots. Do them! It's about getting to know your photographer.

ETA: PP, you tip after the wedding... and this isn't a situation where they didn't feel like editing. This just looks like poor technical skills. No amount of money can change that.

I am so sorry! Considering you said you have seen other work that was great, I would really wonder if they sent you the unedited ones!

I only got an elopement package from my photographer before being on here and getting exposed to a lot of wedding stuff. She very generously offered us a complimentary engagement shoot and I am so grateful! It is definitely something everyone should do because you get to get comfortable with them, understand how they do what they do, and decide what you like and don't like.

Brides, please review these photographers to help future brides! I hope I picked the right company for my pictures.. we'll see. I did do an engagement session with them ,that was pretty good

I would check the contract too...see if he said he would deliver high res edited photos....see what was agreed to

These must be unedited...no self respecting photographer would leave a frigging window register in a professional wedding photo!

Oh geez. I hope no one delivers low res photos? Is that even a thing? You can't really print anything but high res photos.
