Evening Campfire

I'm having a small intimate wedding with 35 people at a rustic venue. We're not having a DJ. Just a full dinner, short speeches and open bar. We'll be having music playing in the background throughout the evening and the speakers will play indoors and outdoors. I'm not expecting a long reception....

That said, I thought this sounded really rustic and warm and one of the biggest components of my wedding is lots of sweets. Our venue has a campfire similar to the one pictured and we thought it may be fun if after dinner (weather dependent) we had a small campfire with smores. I like the idea and love the smell of a campfire and it overall fits the feel of our wedding. On the other hand, I don't know if this would be enjoyable for people. Our wedding is probably more casual than most (with some formal elements). Thoughts? I've been debating his for a while and can't decide because of a number of pros and cons I see myself.

I think this is an awesome idea. There's nothing better to me than some beers around a bonfire! Because your guest list is relatively small, I would recommend just using word of mouth to let people know. I don't really feel that you need to print a separate insert for only 35 people.

We're also planning on doing a late night bonfire and I'm SUPER excited about it!! Our venue is a wood lodge with a fire pit area outdoors, so I figure people can easily choose to come out if they want. Didn't think about the lighting issue though, so I'm super glad I read through this Smiley smile

That sounds awesome!! You actually just inspired me to have an after party at my FSIL house right down the street. Bonfire! I can't believe I didn't think of this.
