Estimated vs Actual Guest Count

I had originally invited 220 people the wedding. I knew there would be a few that wouldn't make it due to travel expenses (living halfway across the world), which I expected. What I didn't expect was only having a final guest count of 113. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to save some money, but I can't...

I had originally invited 220 people the wedding. I knew there would be a few that wouldn't make it due to travel expenses (living halfway across the world), which I expected. What I didn't expect was only having a final guest count of 113. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to save some money, but I can't believe my count was so off. Did anyone else have this problem?

    We are inviting 150, our venue minimum is based on F/B. I expect about 80.

    We had 70 out of 86 RSVP yes. And then 6 of those 70 didn't show up for various reasons.

    Invited 222 . Our min is 150, we had 155 yes rsvp
