Essential or Extra? - Dessert options beyond the cake

Maren, on September 4, 2018 at 11:34 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 125

Are you having any extra dessert options for your guests at your reception?

Beyond the cake--- are you including a dessert table, doing something unconventional like a pie bar, planning a donut wall, or arranging a late-night/midnight snack? Is this essential or extra?

We're having cupcakes and that's it. We'll have about 6 flavors so we're hoping that's enough for our guests.

We're just having cake and the dessert that is offered with our buffet menu. My mother offered to pay for a candy table, so if she is still willing to do so, then we might have that too

Cake is awesome! And, ugh! Definitely NO donut walls.... Bizarre idea that needs to go away.

FH wants doughnuts instead of cake (he’s not a big cake fan) so we’re having a small cake to cut and then doughnuts.

Essential for us! We're having wedding cake but FH isn't having a groom's cake because he wants cheesecake and other desserts. So, we're having a dessert table with mini cheesecakes, cookies, cakepops, mini pies, lemon squares, chocolate covered strawberries, macaroons, and mini cupcakes.

We're also discussing a late-night snacks with a beignet bar.

Necessary. I love desserts and want to share that love with my guests. It's sort of another take away from me.

Extra. However, we are contemplating a late night snack/and or cider doughnuts as our wedding favor. It all depends on how many more RSVPs we get and how close to our minimum we will be based on what we have already chosen.
