Engagement Rings: Expectation vs. Reality!

I was SO set on a marquise. I feel they're timeless and classic. Plus my mother and both aunts and grandmas have one. So I felt like it was sort of tradition lol I found this emerald cut Vera Wang on sale and fell IN LOVE. plus I liked the "sale" part

thank you! I get so many compliments on it and have honestly never seen it before. Some very similar - but not quite. The detail is beautiful and the sapphire under the halo adds a nice touch.

Inwanted a white gold halo diamond ring but after some looking and talking, he really wanted to get me an aquamarine ring because he said that’s what he envisioned me with and he was right! I love it! We kept the halo look and it’s sterling silver because I didn’t want him spending too much money, but it’s the most beautiful piece of jewelry I’ve ever owned!

Thank you!! Me too!! That is what initially drew my attention. Plus the emerald is placed so nicely in the middle you almost don't even realize there is two halo's!

I love jewelry and am always wearing rings so my fiance was so nervous about buying the engagement ring, however he totally nailed it! I wanted something with an antique look, and we went to look at rings once (after he had already bought the ring come to find out). Its like he had looked at my pinterest board becuase it is perfect. I would have loved it no matter what, because it is what he saw me in.

Originally, I thought I wanted a halo design, however as time went on, I noticed myself gravitating towards something with a vintage feel and a single center stone. My FH and I went to my friend who is a jeweler and together they designed my one of a kind, custom ring. It's a timeless Cartier setting with pave diamonds and engraving on the sides to give it that vintage feel I wanted. My FH hand-picked the center stone and after looking at a handful, he finally found this gorgeous beauty. I absolutely love it!
