Engagement Ring while Sleeping

Ladies question...do you wear your engagement ring to bed? I heard you shouldn't. Something about the 5 S of not wearing an engagement ring...shower, shore, sleep, don't know the other 2. What do you all do?

I always keep mine on when I sleep. I usually only take it off when showering and mixing certain food.

I literally never take mine off. Maybe if I’m mixing meat or something like that, but it’s rare.

I only take mine off to put lotion on or mixing meat, I use gloves to clean, I’m afraid I will loose it if I take it off all the time.

My ring is the first thing I take off when I go home, it goes straight into my ring dish on my vanity. I do have a ring dish in my kitchen ( far from the sink) just Incase I need to take it off there.

I wear mine, but it's a simple and doesn't bother me, I take it off when I'm cleaning, and sometimes when I shower (not shore)

I take mine off when I’m cleaning house/dishes, cooking, bathing and when I go to bed. I have circulation issues when I’m laying down so no ring is more about safety than comfort. All the other times I don’t want my activities to potentially damage or soil my ring. Really though you do what works best for you. My sister doesn’t wear her wedding set while she’s home no matter what she’s doing. To each her own 😊

I take mine off at night and put it in its box in a drawer in my bathroom. It gets caught on my blankets sometimes, and I just don't like the feeling of sleeping wearing jewelry. I pretty much never take it off in public, but I take it off at home if I'm washing dishes, doing intense cleaning, or cooking something involving getting my hands dirty. On the rare occasions I go to the gym, I leave it at home. Some days I take it off as soon as I get home from school if it's bothering me, I love my ring but I was never a big fan of wearing rings prior to getting engaged.

I take mine off when I'm sleeping, showering/washing hands (unless in public bathroom), working out, cooking, or cleaning. For me, I just feel comfortable knowing it didn't fall off my finger in the middle of the night and go down the vent, which my bed sits next to. Same goes for the other stuff a sense of knowing it's not going to slide off is comforting. I also probably won't wear it to the beach or an amusement park ( I lost a pair of earrings there once).

I don't put mine on until I'm leaving the house. Then when I come home it usually stays on until I'm doing something like cleaning, cooking (depending on what it is) or doing dishes. I never sleep or shower with it on. I always take it off when putting on lotion.

I take mine off before bed. It’s too bulky to sleep in. But I put it on first thing in the morning.

My mom lost her first wedding ring when she took it off to wash her hands and forgot. So that terrifies me. Right now mine is getting sized, but the rings I wore before I rarely took them off. When I did take them off it was when I was baking/cooking, cleaning with cleaners, washing dishes(I put far away from sink), & when I put lotion on (and they go right back in). Before I took my ring in that was about what I was doing.

I take my ring off when I'm cleaning, gardening, shower, sleep. Sometimes if I'm just relaxing I leave it on my ring holder.

I guess I'm crazy, I take mine off as soon as I walk in from work and don't put it back on until the next morning (so no sleeping, showering, cooking, working out with it on). I even leave it off if we're going to the supermarket because sometimes it snags on the plastic bags and I'm too terrified of damaging it.

I have a stand-in engagement ring, as the engagement ring he popped the question with is an opal (his birthstone, and both of our grandmothers' favorite stone). So my mom passed down her first engagement ring to me; which is a diamond. I don't take it off unless I'm showering, painting, cooking, or working with harsh chemicals.
