Ladies question...do you wear your engagement ring to bed? I heard you shouldn't. Something about the 5 S of not wearing an engagement ring...shower, shore, sleep, don't know the other 2. What do you all do?

I have it in my head that it's in some way dirty to wear jewelry to bed. I have no idea where this idea comes from. I cringe a little when i here people sleep in jewelry. At the same time I have no evidence and I might just be a crazy person.
I rarely take my ring off. I sleep with it on, shower with it on, and even wear it to a physical job. I was worried about damaging it, but it’s platinum so it doesn’t damage as easy as gold. Plus that’s what insurance is for. They cover pretty much anything besides losing the ring and that would be covered my homeowner’s Insurance. The only time I take it off is when I’m putting lotion on my hands. It goes in a ring box on my dresser then. I don’t trust ring trays with two cats (and two dogs after FH moves in) who would likely knock them off.
I only take mine off when I'm swimming. I have insurance and warantees from the jeweler so I'm not too worried about any damage. For sentimental reason ibdont want to lose it.
Honestly I leave mine on always! My fiancé has lifetime warranty on the ring but even if he didn’t I would still wear it all the time! That’s just me though😊
I take mine off for bed, when showering, when cooking, and washing dishes. If I'm home and wash my hands I take it off,but if I'm in public I keep it on because I wouldn't want to lose it. I don't workout but if I did I would remove it.
I take mine off when I sleep, shower, am going to be getting my hands really dirty (cooking, if mixing something by hand, gardening, etc). Other than that I try and wear it and just put on gloves if I need to. I do go and get it checked every 6 months and cleaned when I feel like the sparkle isn't what it normally is.
I take mine off for lotion, showers, cleaning, sleeping, and the gym. I'm generally accident prone and not used to wearing a lot of jewelry, so this is kind of a precaution to keep me from hurting myself or damaging the ring lol. I also just don't want to expose it to chemicals or make it any dirtier than it gets on a regular basis. It goes in a ring box next to my bed at night.
I pretty much wear mine all the time, except to the gym and tennis (if I remember to take them off), and I'll take it off if I'm cooking something that requires my hands to get messy or if I'm using chemicals to clean. I hardly ever take it off for bed, unless it was already off for some reason before. I haven't had any issues with my blood circulation, so, until then, I'll keep wearing it.
I take mine off to shower, cook, do dishes, work out (machines/weights), sleep, and when I put lotion on. I don’t want to scratch myself or FH while we sleep, I don’t want soap or lotion buildup to dull any shine or sparkle, and I don’t want to worry about damaging my ring while I workout.

First thing off first thing on. i take off when I get home and put on my dresser. I would be scared to cut myself or him while sleeping
I started out sleeping with it on, but I ended up scratching myself with it and my hands swell sometimes while I sleep so I stopped. I take mine off a lot though. Showering, working out, cleaning, cooking, half the time at work. It just goes in my ring dish and I check my hand when I leave the house or lab to check I've put it back on
I always leave mine on while washing hands (at least in public). My aunt actually lost her rings because she took them off to wash her hands in a public bathroom and left them there.
I also take mine off when applying lotion and when I get home for the day. My mother has had her prongs come loose very quickly in the past from doing housework so I prefer not to risk it and just remove it when I get home.
Always when I shower, and sometimes when I do the dishes/ cook something very hands on. I think it’s common for women in our parents generation to NEVER take theirs off, I actually had a family friend get divorced and she physically COULDN’T get her ring off until she lost a few pounds
I only take mine off if I'm mixing something with my hands. Other than that I wear it all the time - showering, sleeping, washing dishes, working out... I'm paranoid I'll lose it if I take it off.
