Engagement pictures as thank you cards ?

I've heard some people saying their wedding picture too longer and they were not able to use their thank you pictures they took on the wedding day. We have the thank you banner allready... do you think it would be weird to use during the engagement shoot?

Honestly I don't think it matters. As a recipient I'm not sure I'd even notice.

I like getting thank you cards with wedding pics, but if wedding pics takes too long, I'd just go with standard cards.

Uh no, if you want to put a picture on your thank you card, do it. Back in the day, couples would print out a picture and include it IN the thank you card. Nowadays, people put the picture on the cover. Nothing weird about it at all. It's not like you're putting the picture on a thank you card for a shower, or your birthday party. It's your wedding for Christ's sake.

If you want to use your e-photo, I think that's fine. My pics will take 8-12 weeks, so I asked my photographer if he could send me one photo for my thank you cards while I wait for the rest.
