Engagement Photos- How long did you have to wait?

If she said 2 weeks and it's been 4 weeks, I would follow up. Mine said 4-6 weeks and I got it right on the 6 week mark.

I'd email her. Mine took forever- they said "a few weeks" but it ended up being like 8 weeks lol. I followed up a few times and they responded, they were just really busy with weddings. I'd send a quick email just to check in and go from there.

If the time frame they told you has passed, you should definitely follow up! There is nothing unreasonable about it taking a month or more, but then they shouldn't have told you it would only be two.

We got a sneak peek about 24 hours later, and the rest of the pictures are supposed to take about 8 weeks.

Whatever timeline she gave, follow up if it's past that.

We got ours within 2 weeks. Actually just over a week, I was so impressed as her timeline said a bit longer.

Def follow up! We received a sneak peek almost immediately for the first session with the photos arriving the same week. Our second session we received the photos the same day.

Did you have a contract? Did it say two weeks in the contract? If so, follow. If there was no contract, I'd still follow up, but you're more at the mercy of the photographer if you don't have a contract (make sure you have a detailed contract with a delivery timeframe for your wedding photography!).

Agree with PP's advice - you're free to start following up with them if it's after the agreed-upon timeline. I think it took ours about 3 weeks to come in.

Ours asked us to give him 2 weeks and that's only because he was in the process of relocating. I'd definitely give her a call 4 weeks later.

I got mine day of cuz... my brother's a photographer!

I say follow up as I would be crazy antsy. We took ours on Saturday and had all of the edited photos first thing Thursday morning.

The same thing happened to me. We had a pictures taken the Friday after Thanksgiving. We got a few teasers the night of and she told us 2 weeks or less for the remainder, and that time came and went and I hadn't heard from her. I reached out several times, and she did not reply. I told her I wanted them by early mid because I wanted to make STD/Christmas cards- she said this would be no problem. I did not receive them in time so I had to use the teasers. Finally, at the end of January I received all the files...

I don't know what it is with photographers and their poor business skills, but that is how my experience has been with them. I being a photographer myself knows this doesn't have to be the case. At least respond to my e-mails, right?

Mine said 2 weeks and I got them back exactly weeks. I was actually surprised that it didn't take longer than that. I would follow up since it's been a month.

Just texted her and they will be in our hands in a couple of days. Hopefully!
