My original budget was 3k for my ceremony dress and 1.5k for my reception gown but my ceremony gown is 5.2k, reception is 2.5k and a jumpsuit for 1.3k..... so I guess you can say I went way over 😫.

My budget was 2,000. My dress with taxes came to almost 1,700. My alterations are quoted at 250-375. So I figure I’ll be roughly at 2k.

I didn't really have a budget, but I got my dress for $635! I was SHOCKED! Lol that's with a 10% discount for buying off the rack. I haven't had alterations done yet though, so we'll see how much I pay in the end.

I paid $615, with alterations still need to be made. Trying to keep as low cost as we can, although we've already spiraled past our 10k budget. How do people have cheap weddings? Smiley xd

My dress is the brand Morilee by Madeline Gardner, it looked so expensive when the lady at the bridal botique showed it to me but she assured me that Morilee is usually more affordable. My dress was new to the shop, so they didn't have the price until I came back in two days later and she was right, but it was still surprising. You can check out their website and see if any shops close to you carry the brand.

You can find A TON of beautiful gowns in your price range you just have to do your research. I looked at a millionnnnnn gowns. But once I have my mind set on something I’m absolutely determined to get it and I fell in love with my gown. You’re also fortunate that you have over a year so you have at least 6 months if you’re going designer. I’d get familiar with a couple designers and go on preownedweddingdress and still white and see if I can find the dress there. My FSIL is getting married 2 months before me and she fell in love with a gown that was 4K and it was way over her budget so I checked those sites EVERYDAY twice a day. To see if anyone would post the dress in a size close to hers and it took about a month but I ended up finding it and it was 1.2k. Most of the dresses are samples from boutiques or gowns brides ordered and never picked up. If you dedicate the time you can find what you want for the price you want.
