I didn't want to spend more than $1500. I bought my dress for a little under $1100 and have my first alternations appointment tomorrow.

I wanted my gown to be exactly what I imagined, but I didn't want to spend too much on it. My budget was $1700, and with the veil and gown, it was $1600.

Mine was originally 1500 too but there was nothing in that price range that I liked so I increased it to 3000. I did try on one gown that I liked decently at 4000. I like the back a lot but the front is just okay. And main reason I liked it was because of how it looked with the veil was another 800. Not sure I’m willing to spend that much on a dress I don’t love. My problem is the that most of the dresses I’ve tried are lovely but none feel special. I honestly feel that it wouldn’t matter that much which one I chose. If nothing makes me happy, there is also a family wedding dress I could wear. I’ve tried it on and I look quite nice in it. Would just need dry cleaning (400) and alterations (300-400). I know brides who have worn a family wedding gown for church/ceremony for sentimental reasons and a new white bridal gown for the reception. But it would also work if you want a non white reception dress (non white formal gowns are much cheaper). That could be one way to go to easier on budget if you have a family gown.

    Hi Tori,
Thank you so much, I love her dresses, I tried on over 40 before I found these two Stella York's, I loved them both, it took a week of sleepless nights before I could decide, and it looked awkward on top, I have small boobs 😤 a little more than A cup! but my seamstress sewed in these great padded cups👍 what style did you get, I'd love to see it? 👰

My budget was $2,500. My parents bought my gown for me. I ended up saying yes to a dress that was $2,300, before alterations.

    Don,

She has a lot of beautiful gowns. So I am not surprised it took you a while to decide. I knew it was the one when I started crying once I had it on! Smiley cry Smiley love

Mine was $1500 for dress and alterations. I ended up at $1860 for the dress only. I assume alterations will cost $200-$400.

I didn't have a set budget, however, I was limited to David's Bridal since I used my store credit card. 6 months interest free, so it worked out. Dress was 1400, alterations was 500, I added a belt for 70, and my veil was 200. All from DB

Mine was $1500, but found a sample dress that I fell in love with and only paid $500.
