Dollar dance ??

@Laura and @Kate...Who said I'm going to be "asking" people to pay me to dance/talk to them? Of course we will be going to each table and thanking them/idly chatting for a minute or 2. Like I said before: if people want to pay to dance, that's fine. If not, that's fine too. I would NEVER force someone to pay to dance with me or my FH, it's harmless fun in my opinion!! Edit: I'm not saying anyone's opinion is right or wrong, I don't want to start arguments about this when the topic has been done to death. In the long-run, it's your choice if you want to do it or not, tradition or no tradition, no one is right and no one is wrong. I knew my comment was going to get some backlash, but I just wanted to put my 2 cents on the topic!

It's definitely part of my culture but not my husband's. We did it during our traditional Nigerian wedding and now we will also be doing it during the reception of the "white wedding." I wouldn't want to stray from the money spray!!!! My husband is excited for that part of the wedding and so am I!!!

You must be new here. This comes up every day. The general consensus is, it is rude. But if you want to do, we're sure as hell won't stop you. But we will side eye it.

My husband and I did it. It is part of our culture. Also, 90% of the weddings we've attended have done it too. I don't see anything wrong with it :-)

Am I the only one who never knew what a dollar dance was before reading these Forums? LOL ..guess I've never been to a wedding where they did this!
