Dollar Dance.. yes or no?

2BMrsKing, on October 10, 2016 at 5:45 PM

I've seen dollar dances in past weddings, but current weddings, have not. Is this is uncommon thing now? I have no opinion either way, just curious.

Come on 3 star, you should know this is a hot topic. If you have to even ask then it should be a no. If you don't know your audience well enough to know, then definitely don't do it.

It's a tradition in my family, yet I've been squicked by it since I was a flower girl in my aunt's wedding. Want absolutely no part of it.

Now if you write a cutesy poem, on the other hand...

The Dollar Dance is traditional in Nigerian cultures. Not traditional in American cultures.

No! No dollar dance... It's just plain awkward for everyone involved IMHO.

I have never seen it at a real wedding. My mom and I once went to this interactive show that made fun of weddings and they had it there as an example of something tacky

I LOVE the dollar dance! Everyone in my family does it and all the children get up and dance as well as many of the family and friends. It's not like you're asking people to "rip out their wallets and give money," it's $1. You spend a lot of money paying for food for all your guests, how is it rude to do a $1 dance? I will most definitely be doing it at my wedding and I can't wait for it!

It is corny, desperate, and extremely rude.

I'm Canadian and this is what you would be pelted with during a "Dollar Dance".

    What is an apron dance?

Does the money get stuffed in your apron?
