Does save the dates need to match invitations?

CruzWin, on January 2, 2019 at 9:47 AM Posted in Planning 0 13
Im now looking for save the dates? Haven't thought about looking for whole set of invites. Do they need to match?

Not at all! You can have some fun with the save the dates since these are usually less formal than an actual invite. Some people want all of their paper products to match and some people don't mind. But your guests won't care either way!

Not at all... Our Save the Dates were a postcard with one of our engagement photos on the front and a smaller one on the back! Our invitations will feature one of our wedding colors.

Both our save the dates and invites will use red and gold, but the style isn’t going to match. Our save the dates are much more rustic and the invites are more elegant and they’re from different websites.

Nope! Our Save the Dates featured one of our favorite engagement photos and our invitations will be more formal.

I don't think they need to match. We are doing save the date magnets and for invites we are doing the all-in-one invites. The only way they are "matching" is that we are using our colors for the design and lettering.

Nope. It’s not necessary for them to match. I kept both of them within my theme ( peacock 🦚) but they’re two comply different designs.

    Need to? Absolutely not!

    im choosing to

realistically no one will notice or know but me though

there is a post right now about 12 things guests don’t care about and you should probably check it out

personally I love invitations, paper, and stationery but it’s definitely a huge waste of money because they’re ending in the trash

im keeping like 15 of the 50 I’m having printed and likely to diy an alternative invitation to send out to some before I part with any of mine lol

if I need more than 35 people will not all get the nice invitations because I’m not getting more and I’m keeping what I have plans for so the invitations in my wedding are clearly for me, not the guests lol

Ours didn't match. We had no idea what our invites we're even going to look like at that time.
