Crazy question, do you tip the seamstress?

If you do how much or what percentage do you tip.

Its standard 20% for any tip. however I’ve personally never heard of having to tip a seamstress. I was a waitress and a bartender for a large portion of my life, and in my opinion unless they are only charging you an at cost price, they are already charging you for the labor, but it seems like in 2020 everyone expects a 20% tip.

Like anyplace or anyone, tips are up to you. If you see that they worked hard then the right thing is to tip. Some people I tipped a little more(waitress that helped at the deli when I picked food up and was packed house but still so sweet) some a lil less( dj had non of the songs we requested and wasn't energized or organized at all).

I’m not really planning to tip the seamstress. The price they’re charging is for they’re talent and skills. Only if I felt like they went above and beyond, then I’d think about tipping. Like one of the other pps said, the seamstress is not like a waitress who basically earns their living off of tips. The seamstress is a skilled artisan and charging rates accordingly. I also see many other vendors this way as well, but then again I’m not having a florist or a dj, or most of the typical wedding vendors anyway.
