Do you think you'll be able to sleep the night before your "Big Day" !!!!

I keep thinking about and I hope I'll be able to but I know i'm going to be so excited and anxious. My mother and MIL say you have to sleep. I'll try my best but i don't know! What do you think?

I slept great, normally when something i'm looking forward to is happening the next day i don't. DH on the otherhind didn't sleep at all.

I was hanging out with my bridesmaids the entire day before and they slept over at my house and we just basically had a sleep over and I had a tiny bit to drink just enough to get me sleepy and not all puffy eyed and swollen the next morning. It helped me relax.

If you're worried about it just take a tiny bit of nyquil. Not like a giant dose of course, just a teensy bit to help you get drowsy and not sleep in and be groggy the next morning! Smiley smile

Probably not. I think I'll be wired. I also tend to wake up a lot if I'm nervous about getting up on time

That's not a bad idea, M2H I'm probably going to have my rehearsal dinner the night before but maybe i'll have my bridesmaids over after to keep me company.

I'm going to take Benadryl to knock me out. I already can't sleep before big events.

I slept like a baby, I was so worn out from the Bach party and the rehersal dinner. I didn't think I would be able to but as soon as I hit the pillow I was out all night.

I would like to say yes because I'm usually a good sleep under stress, but knowing that at that time the next night i would be sleeping with my HUSBAND! (for the first time) I don't think I'm going to sleep very well..

I can't sleep now, so I doubt I will be able to sleep the night before.

I didn't get a very good night sleep. Tried to go to bed around 11 p.m., but took me a while to fall asleep. Then I just kept waking up and falling back asleep. Plus my room (stayed in my old room at my parents house) felt like a meat locker since the AC was running full blast (my mom gets very warm). Had to be up at 5:30 a.m. to be in the hairstylist chair for 6:30 a.m.

Our reception ended at 2:00 a.m, got back to the hotel around 2:30 and went to bed around 3:00. Had been up for about 21-22 hours at that time.

My DH also said he had a pretty crappy sleep the night before also. He stayed up late working on the slide show and then was nervous, so he was up early the next morning, around 7 a.m. Did give him a chance to go have breakfast with the guys and some other friends staying at the hotel.

My logic is that I will sleep like a rock - right now I'm not sleeping well. no matter how tired I am, as soon as the lights go out my brain starts going through all the wedding stuff (and regular life stuff) and I end up tossing/turning or getting up to read until the wee hours.

soooooooo, by the night before everything will be done that can be done so I should have nothing to worry about, right? we'll see, I'll let you know on Mar 16th if my logic was valid :0)

LOL thanks Cathy, i don't think all those things will really be on my mind as much as they will the night before. I'm just afraid if I don't sleep, of being so tired on my wedding day that I'll be REALLY cranky lol

I'm with you girls...I'm sure I won't get much, if any. I can't sleep Christmas Eve, before my best friends' weddings, any 1/2 marathon or race I do...I plan to get up early, go for run and drink lots of coffee. That's how I survive life Smiley smile

I'm planning to share a room with my mom that night, and hopefully one of my bridesmaids. I have always slept better when there is somebody next to me, so I know I will be okay. I'll be up late, but will most likely be exhausted already, so should fall asleep pretty easily :o)
