Do you take your engagement ring off when you go to bed?...

I actually take mine off a lot! I work full time at a gym, so I'm always cleaning something or lifting weights. So I only wear mine when I'm out. At home I'm usually cooking, cleaning or sleeping so unfortunately I don't wear mine that often

Lol Celena H. I here you the same here and is has been 10 yrs . I can't take mines off FH told me if I do then I should never put it back on because he won't wear his anymore

I pretty wear mine all the time unless I'm putting lotion on or after a workout when my hands tend to swell up.

When I first started wearing it, I felt it on my hand a lot more and it was driving me a little batty. ^_^ But now I'm use to it and it doesn't feel as obvious.

The only time I take mine off is to shower or to put on lotion. Other than that its on! I feel weird without it now! Its funny how used to it you get.

I take mine off for bed and for showers and usually when I do deep cleaning. I take it off for lotioning as well.

I take mine off before bed because I woke up one night and my finger had swollen-I guess my fingers swell when I'm asleep???? Well I could feel the pressure of the ring arouns my finger and my finger fell asleep. So ever since then at bedtime off it goes. I also take it off when I clean. I don't usually put it on until after my shower.

I do take mine off when I clean, shower and when I go to bed sometimes. I actually slept on it wrong a couple of nights and got big bump underneath my ring on my finger...It was very upsetting!! lol.

I also take it off to clean it!!

I take mine off when i do dishes and am cleaning the bathroom and stuff with bleach and icky chemicals. other than that i really dont take it off. i actually took it off this am for some reason, and the kids at work actually asked where it was lol

My ring is older, and i asked a jeweler what i'm supposed to do to keep it in good condition. in a nutshell, they said to not wear it while you're sleeping, cleaning, doing manual labor, etc. you just never know what could happen.

definitely keep tabs on it though; i had a real scare one night when i took my ring off while i was cooking and i almost thought i had lost it! not fun. :-/

I take mine off when I wash my hands, take a shower, do dishes, work in the iv room, do a lot of work outside, play vb, golf and sleep. I can't stand to sleep with any sort of jewelry on. I don't have it on now actually..hahhaa woops!

I never take my ring off, but I probably should. It's 100 years old and I worry it can't take the daily abuse (it was my great-grandma's). I don't think I'll wear it much once I get my wedding band.

I take my engagement ring off when I go to bed. I physically cannot sleep with it on for some reason. It just feels weird to me. At first, I did take it off to shower or wash my hands, but now I don't even bother with it.

I used to take my ring off a lot - to sleep, do dishes, shower, etc. I take it off far less now that I'm used to having it on my finger all the time. I do take it off for sure when I put on lotion or put stuff in my hair - there are a lot of nooks and crannies for stuff to get stuck in!

I take mine off when I shower or bake. When I clean I use gloves because I know the chemicals are bad for your hands. I sleep in my ring.

I sleep with mine - I only take it off to bathe or wash dishes. I actually lotion my left fingers and try to avoid the ring haha! Everytime I take it off I get paranoid, feel naked and worry about where I placed it lol. It's easier for me to wear it all the time though as my ring isn't a solitaire so there's nothing sticking out to cause any damage.

I actually take mine off quite a bit...for fear of ruining it. I was actually told by my jeweler that you should take it off while cleaning (or swimming) because the chemicals are really bad for it. I also take it off to shower, put on lotion, and work out...mainly because I don't want a bunch of gunk caked to it. Really, though, when I'm at home doing nothing, I just put it back in the box so that I don't have to worry about taking it off to do random things.

I only take mine off to put lotion on, however my FH wishes I would take it off when I go to bed! He's reached to hold my hand and pretty much stabs himself on the ring, however I've received the brunt of it... I woke up one day with a 3 inch scratch across the side of my cheek because my dumb ass was sleeping on it and must have moved and scratched myself with it. Yet, I still haven't learned my lesson. go figure!
