Do you take your engagement ring off when you go to bed?...

Or when you take a shower or clean the house???? I do! It seems like i'm the only one. I'm afraid I'm gonna poke my eye or my FS's eye in a sleep, or damage it somehow when I clean. Do you think I'm too paranoid?

I rescued mine from a near-fatal drain death but I still take it off to put lotion on or when I exercise / run. Other than that it's always on. It took me a while to get used to it but now if I don't have it on I know immediately that something's missing.

I take mine off at night, when I work out, when I shower. Basically, I take it off at night when I work out and then I don't put it back on until I leave the house the next day. It goes in it's own compartment in a jewelry box so I don't lose it. Thanks for posting b/c for a while I thought I was alone!

Actually, I take off my ring as soon as I get home from work, and it stays off until I leave the next day. When I'm home, I'm usually cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, or putzing around in some other way, and I don't want to have to worry about it. I have a small crystal box on my nightstand that I place it in, and it's just part of my routine. That's why, for my wedding band, I just want a plain, simple white gold band that can stay on my finger all the time - besides, it's the wedding band that will mean more to me than the e-ring!

I only take mine off to do dishes because I can't handle the scraping sound of my ring on metal when accidental contact happens. Like nails on a chalk board, seriously. But I don't any other time. Maybe I should though, I get it caught on everything! hahah.

I only take mine off when boxing or lifting heavy weights. Granted, FS does most of the cleaning around the house, so I don't really have to worry about that Smiley winking

I live it one when I'm a sleep unless I am going to take a nap on the couch. Then I take it of becasue I ended hurting myself with it. The only other times I take it off is when I am cleaning, giving my daughter a bath or working on my car.

I take mine off when I wash my hands, do dishes, put lotion on, when I get in the pool or any water at that and when I go to bed. I have only had my ring for 2 months and it is too big so I am paranoid to leave it on during all of the above because I will lose it.

I take mine off when I shower and when I'm sleeping. Other than that I have it on, or else I feel naked or like I'm missing an arm or something LoL.

I only take mine off while sleeping and showering. Some cooking-depends how messy it is and how much hands-on is involved!

But other than that i really do feel naked without it...I don't even take it off to go to the gym cuz i feel like i'm gonna lose it!

Yes to all of the above. The center stone is an heirloom, and I haven't gotten it insured yet. I am super careful.
