  How we met... Basically: Cassie. Cassie Dillard and I went to school together. We became good friends in high school through the mutual dislike of a science teacher and the sad dissection of a badly preserved cat. Ryan and Cassie are cousins so Ryan and I eventually got thrown into situations with each other. Ryan was going to OSU Okmulgee at the time. In January of 2007, Ryan drove to Claremore to surprise me. For an Oklahoma boy, he definitely underestimated our crazy weather, because by the time he got into town a huge snow storm hit. He was snowed in for four days before we could see each other. It should have been longer, because the roads were horrible, but he came to my house on January 18, 2007. We talked on the phone all night. Our anniversary is January 19th. How he proposed... We were visiting his parents, Kristi and Ted Cox, in Arizona. Ryan, Kristi, and I went to the Canyon De Chelly and while we were walking down a trail, Ryan said he wanted to stop and rest. I sat down on the bench and he started walking towards the edge of the path. He turned around and dropped to one knee and proposed. Kristi got it all on video.
