Hey Ladies, sorry if this topic has been discussed already numerous times. I just joined the site and don't know how to search on mobile.

I was wondering if you guys take your engagement rings off when you're showering/doing dishes/etc... or if you keep it on all the time? Thoughts?

I just got engaged and don't want to hurt my ring!

Thanks!!

Yes. I take it off to shower, cook, clean, go to the gym, etc

I've only been engaged for a month, but I only take mine off when I put lotion on. I generally wear all of my jewelry 24/7, though. But in the summer, I'll probably take it off to go to the beach/lake/boating.

I take mine off anytime my hands touch water or lotion and as soon as I get home it goes into the box it came in. I'm afraid I'll bang it on something and pop some stones out or something.

Congrats!! I take mine off for showering, lotioning, washing, seasoning, and also because I have eczema pretty bad from time to time and the ring aggravates it more so there will be a day or two when I cant wear it to let my skin heal.

I take mine off when I do dishes or if I'm working with cleaning chemicals or raw meat. I do wear it in the shower most of the time because I forget to take it off. Haha

I'm a messy cook, so if I'm cooking ANYTHING, it's off. Showering, off. Sleeping, off. We have motorcycles, and I can't fit my gloves over it, plus it's just one more thing to worry about trying to shift gears.

I take mine off when I'm in the shower and dishes because when it gets wet it gets lose and I don't want to risk losing in to the drain. My FH always comments about it though lol.

Congratulations on your engagement! I take mine off when showering, washing my hands or face, doing the dishes, when I work out, and when I sleep. Sometimes I have to take it off at work so I can put on gloves without ripping them, so I hang it on a chain around my neck instead!

I take mine off when I shower, put on lotion, swim, wash the car or dishes, cooking with raw meat, or if I am deep cleaning the house and using strong cleaning products. I also take it off when I sleep because it was getting caught in the sheets and I scratched FH with it.

Pretty much if it could damage my ring or if my ring could fall down a drain I take it off. Lol

Mine comes off when im in the shower- because it get loose and I'm terrified it will fall down the drain. But other than that is does not leave my finger. I don't want it to, I love it so much!!

I have a question are you suppose to take your engagement ring off for the wedding or just leave it. Cuz my wedding ring and engagement ring is like a puzzle. I don't know if there's a tradition or not on that.

I only take mine off when I'm doing a lot of dishes, cleaning with chemicals or cooking with raw meat. I don't want to get into the habit of taking it on and off and possibly misplacing it.

Troll: I'm putting mine on my right hand for the ceremony then putting it back on my left after
