I was wondering if you guys take your engagement rings off when you're showering/doing dishes/etc... or if you keep it on all the time? Thoughts?

I just got engaged and don't want to hurt my ring!

Thanks!!

I take it off while at home, usually wear it when I leave the house unless working out or golfing or something. I love it and am afraid of damaging or losing it, it distracts me and sometimes I'm relieved when it's off, haha. FH laughs at me for this. When I have the wedding band, I expect to wear it almost all the time (except work-outs and cleaning/cooking). I am a jewelry minimalist and this thing still freaks me out after almost 8 months...

I hate taking mine off but I try to remember to take it off when I go to the gym, and when I go skiing. Don't want my gloves to rip it off. And my mom told me not to wear it if I'm hot tubbing cuz she's known people who's diamonds came out in the hot tub

I take mine off while I sleep and I often take it off while washing dishes and showering.

I definitely take it off when doing extensive cleaning with chemicals.

Mine comes off when I'm showering, washing dishes, cleaning, basically anytime I think it will come into contact with liquids or chemicals.

I wear mine only about half the time. When I'm not wearing it I have a very specific drawer that I keep it in.

I have a ring holder necklace that I wear almost all the time now that FH got me for Valentine's Day this year. I take my ring off most of the time at work (I work in a pet store with the animals and fish tanks), to bake or cook (most of the time anyway), when I'm showering, anytime I'm working with chemicals or dye, and when I'm sleeping. But it always goes either on my jewelry stand or on this necklace.

I only wear mine outside of the house. I have to be careful even when I'm wearing it bc the setting has little prongs that stick out and rip/snag clothes

Same as most: I take it off when cleaning, cooking, showering, washing my face, working out, and sleeping. I also take it off to put on lotions. FH got me a set of ring holders--I keep one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom since those are the places I'm most likely to take it off and set it down.

Check out Francesca's for cute and cheap ring holders. I take mine off-better safe than sorry.

I only take mine off when I am handling food that requires hand mixing. When I put lotion on, and if I am working as a deckhand out on the Research Vessel but I take all my jewelry off for that. Other than that it is always on my finger, my ring is also comfortable and it doesn't snag or catch.

I only wear mine when I go out.. when I come home/go to the gym it comes off and into the box. I've heard to many horror stories about girls dropping it in the washer/down the drain. Not happening to me

I pretty much only take mine off when I shower. I sleep with it on. I don't have it for 4 days because it's at the jeweler and it feels wierd because I wear it all the time.
