Do you put your registry information with the invitation?

Mrs. Haug, on September 23, 2017 at 2:50 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 28

Okay so I'm not sure how this is supposed to work. I am creating my invitations and I have an RSVP insert and a Details insert that sends guests to our wedding website. Do I put our registry information at the bottom or do I just put the website on there? Our registries are linked to our website.

No registry info on invites. Just put the link to your website on them. And you can have registry info on your website.

Definitely don't put registry info on your invitations.

Nope, registry info doesn't go near wedding invitations. It's okay to put registry info on your website, though, and include your wedding website address on your details card, like your second picture. Just don't state anywhere in your invitation suite that registry info can be found on your website.

We are putting our registry information on a separate little card in our bridal shower invitations. If you're not having a shower I would probably just ask my mom to help let people know if they ask about it.

How did guests know where the couple was registered before the internet/personal wedding sites? Genuinely asking.

Danilaughs, it's acceptable to put registry info on shower invites, so I'm assuming that's what was done.

That's what I was confused about. I know on a couple wedding invitations I received, their registry information was on there but none of them had a wedding website. I definitely understand the not putting it with the invitations though so I think just putting the website will work perfectly.

Im not sure what to do here either. We do not have a wedding website and Im not having a shower (no one offered to plan one and im not going to ask someone to) so how do we get that info to our guest? I personally am not comfortable calling complete strangers (fiances family mostly) to give them this info.

Hmmm I am wondering about this too...we are planning to use the WW wedding website but I do not believe that we will be having a shower...for the same reason @Kristin isn't having one...but I wonder how many people actually check out the website???

No registry info on our including with invitation. Do that info on shower invitations (if your having one) or on the website. You can include your website on your details card, but don't include the word registry.

I've gotten a slew of invites lately with a separate card that had the registry info on it. That's what we did too. We don't have a website.

You can put it on your website and put the website on the details card. Definitely don't put the registry on the invitation though!
