Do you get to see an example of floral arrangements beforehand?

Paula, on February 24, 2020 at 1:18 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

Hello all. I am getting my flowers done by HEB blooms. I am getting married in about two months, on April 18th. I had an initial planning meeting with the florist awhile back where I described what I want. I am wondering, do florists usually provide an example of what the flowers will look like so you can decide if you want to make changes? I don't want the first time I see the centerpieces to be the day of my wedding, because if it's not really what I wanted then there will be no chance to change it. The florist didn't mention anything about doing a test or trial, so I don't know if I am being silly and stressing out about unnecessary things. Is this something a florist typically does?

I will not see my flowers before the wedding day. I’ve had multiple meetings with my florist and she sent a very detailed proposal with types of flowers and inspiration pics.

I won't see mine either. I met with 7 florists and none of them do a mockup/trial. We work off inspiration pics and I trust her work based on her social media photos and recommendations.

Out florist makes a sample table arrangement so we can see what it looks like and tweak it if needed. I’m a visual person so I need to see everything before hand 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it varies based on your vendor. Our florist/event design also makes sample centerpieces for us to approve prior to the wedding.

Daughter's florist did an extremely detailed proposal that included pictures of all the flowers and greenery, and she made a sample centerpiece for daughter about 4-6 weeks before the wedding.

Our florist does offer a sample but it comes with a fee. I’m confident in her work (I follow her on Instagram) and her proposal is very detailed. Maybe to ease your mind, you can see if you pay for one.

Every florist is different. You need to talk to yours and ask. Mine included a sample, which was amazing!
